Your garden is personal.

This notice explains how the current GrowCue beta handles information. GrowCue is still being prepared for public launch.

Beta document: This is a clear description of the app today, not a substitute for final legal review before a commercial public launch.

Information saved on your device

By default, plant selections, garden spaces, planting dates, journal notes, photos, preferences, and beta feedback are stored in the browser on the device you use. Clearing browser data or using GrowCue in another browser may make that information unavailable unless you exported a backup.

Location and weather lookups

When you search for a city, ZIP code, or postal code, GrowCue may send that search to Zippopotam.us and Open-Meteo services to find a location and estimate local growing conditions. These lookups do not include your journal notes, photos, plant list, or garden-space names.

Optional cloud account

If you create a GrowCue cloud account, Supabase securely processes your email address, sign-in, confirmation, and password-recovery requests. GrowCue stores the garden information you choose to synchronize in a record protected for your account. Passwords are handled by Supabase and are never stored in garden data or included in garden backups. Account email addresses are used for account and security messages; they are not automatically enrolled in marketing email.

Beta feedback

Feedback reports stay on your device until you choose to share or download them. If you include technical details, a report may include the current screen, general saved location label, language, online status, screen size, browser description, and GrowCue version. It does not include garden notes or photos.

Optional anonymous analytics

You may choose to share anonymous information about which GrowCue screens and features are used, along with basic error reports. These events use a temporary random session identifier and may include the screen name, app version, language, online status, and screen size. They do not include your name, email address, city, ZIP or postal code, selected plants, garden-space names, dates, journal notes, photos, or account content. This choice is off until you enable it in Settings and can be turned off at any time.

Advertising and payments

The current beta does not activate advertising or payment collection. This notice must be updated before either service is introduced.

Your choices

You can turn anonymous analytics on or off, export or import a garden backup, and delete GrowCue information stored in the current browser from the Privacy Center. If signed in, you can permanently delete your cloud login and cloud garden from the Account screen after confirming your password. Cloud-account deletion does not erase the separate garden copy on your current device unless you also choose to delete this device's data. Turning analytics off stops future events; it does not identify or retrieve earlier anonymous events. Deletion does not remove exported backups or information you previously chose to share.

Children and health information

GrowCue is a general gardening planner and is not intended to collect sensitive health information. The public launch will require a final decision about age eligibility and any parental-consent requirements.
